I used to scrapbook quite a bit a few years ago, but have since lost the desire to spend hours and hours putting together a book that generally sits on a shelf or under a bed gathering dust. Since then, I have moved on to shadow boxes. This is because I view it as creating one great scrapbook page that gets to be on full display in your home. With my niece arriving into the world sometime this month, I wanted to make her a welcome gift with this shadow box DIY.
As many you know, trends tend to come and go in cycles. Is it just me or have we reached the peak of the current cycle of hair accessories trend? I feel like I’m bombarded with cute options everywhere, from my local craft store to places like Anthropologie. I came across their knotted hair tie set when I was standing in line to pay and was about to impulse buy them. But I knew these knotted hair ties would be easy to make for a fraction of the price (I made a set of 6 for under $1).
Cheers to the new year in style with these gold leaf gilded cups!
This bolo keychain DIY gift would be a great solution for anyone who’s constantly digging through their bags looking for their keys. It’s a larger piece that you can easily find, but won’t weigh down your keys!
This trinket dish DIY is so incredibly simple with a great end result that you can’t mess up. Gift it as a trinket dish, soap dish or tea bag rest! Buying someone jewelry? Gift them with this DIY dish and say it’s a trinket dish. Know someone who loves fancy soaps? Give them this and tell them it’s a soap dish! Have a tea drinker in your life? Give them a tin of some deluxe tea, a new mug and this tea rest dish. I’m a big tea drinker and this is sort of a selfish DIY tutorial because I plan on keeping this (:P).
