Three years ago, I posted my first DIY post ever that was a necklace makeover that started my obsession with embroidery thread. My second tutorial featured a straw bag makeover that resulted in extra tassels that inspired me to make these DIY embroidery thread earrings.
It’s been so long since I’ve made something for this blog. I’m so happy to be able to ease into it with this super simple earring DIY! I had picked up a pair of simple oval hoop earrings from Primark (shopping here was part of the reason I went over budget on my trip) while I was abroad a few months ago for a great price. I wanted to add something to them to make it more personalized and unique. It’s incredibly easy to change up any pair of earrings you may have with a few simple tools and materials.
Ear cuffs are all the rage right now. I was inspired by Knobbly’s beautifully simplistic metal jewelry, particularly the Sterling Silver Ear Cuff. Minimalist Ear Bar. Hammered Lines. It’s on my wishlist of things I want to buy, but I’m trying to save up for a big trip later this year, so I thought I would try making my own ear cuffs.
