As a 90’s baby, I’m honestly really happy that there are so many trends of that decade coming back and staying strong. I wasn’t as into fashion as I am now when I was a kid, so I’m excited to be able to actually rock the trends I grew up with. Since this is probably a passing fad, I wanted to make my own DIY ribbon choker.
Cheers to the new year in style with these gold leaf gilded cups!
This bolo keychain DIY gift would be a great solution for anyone who’s constantly digging through their bags looking for their keys. It’s a larger piece that you can easily find, but won’t weigh down your keys!
My sister found this image floating around Pinterest but could not find the source or the tutorial that is supposed to be linked to it. She asked me to make her a few trees to decorate her house with. Since it was so easy and I spent far too long looking for the original tutorial, I thought I’d share how this wire wrap tree DIY with you all.
This trinket dish DIY is so incredibly simple with a great end result that you can’t mess up. Gift it as a trinket dish, soap dish or tea bag rest! Buying someone jewelry? Gift them with this DIY dish and say it’s a trinket dish. Know someone who loves fancy soaps? Give them this and tell them it’s a soap dish! Have a tea drinker in your life? Give them a tin of some deluxe tea, a new mug and this tea rest dish. I’m a big tea drinker and this is sort of a selfish DIY tutorial because I plan on keeping this (:P).
Over the last few years I’ve posted a few DIY tutorials that are easy to make for a last minute gift. This year, I thought it’d be fun to do an entire month dedicated to last minute DIY gifts. To kick things off, I did a quick round-up of all the easy DIY’s I did that would make perfect gifts for the people in your life. Subscribe to get next week’s DIY sent straight to your inbox, you won’t want to miss it!
Ok, home stretch! My sister’s wedding was last month, I promise I’ll stop posting about weddings soon. But I think this DIY tutorial will be a big winner for those of you DIY brides out there.
Wow! Can you believe that it’s the end of October already?? This month flew by! I’ve been busy so per usual I’m throwing together a last minute Halloween costume. A few years back I had a post for some last minute costume ideas that are work appropriate (go check it out here), but this year I’m going out with a friend who’s going to be dressed as a vampire. We thought it’d be fun to be a pair this year, so I’m going to be his “human”. Basically, I’m going to wear black and wear fake blood. Or that was the original plan, but I’ll admit I have no clue how to apply makeup let alone Halloween makeup, so I decided to go an easy DIY route and make a “blood necklace”!
Alright, I’ll admit this is not exactly a complete DIY tutorial. I did make this chambray dress DIY, but I didn’t document it very well. I didn’t want to haphazardly put together incomplete instructions for you all, but I really wanted to share a fun idea you can use the next time you make a top or dress!
This is a super simple DIY that may not turn out so great when you first try if you’ve never used the decorative stitches on your sewing machine before. But after a few practice runs it’ll be a breeze to make these DIY embroidered bandanas!
