DIY Wedding Robe

DIY Wedding Robe

Ok, home stretch! My sister’s wedding was last month, I promise I’ll stop posting about weddings soon. But I think this DIY tutorial will be a big winner for those of you DIY brides out there.

DIY Wedding Robe

We had searched high and low for a robe my sister could wear while getting ready on her big day. Every robe we found, however, either didn’t have her size left or was too this or too that (read: sleeves too billowy, fabric too shiny, etc.). So I decided to make her one for her bridal shower gift. I’ll admit, this is a big departure from the easy DIY’s I’ve been posting lately, but this DIY wedding robe is well worth the hours of work.

Materials:

DIY Wedding Robe

2.5 yards Knit Fabric | 2.5 to 3 yards Lace Fabric | 2 Spools of Coordinating Thread | Sewing Machine | Long Pins | Scissors

Procedures:

I’ll be very honest and say that I did not document this tutorial well enough to put together an entire tutorial, so I recommend checking out The Thread‘s tutorial which has a pattern included.
