New Orleans, here I come… after a quick layover in San Diego that is! It feels like I’ve been planning this trip for an extremely long time (probably because I have since I started back in January). So I’m so happy to finally be packed and waiting to board the plane!
I wanted to give a quick share on what’s in my bag and some tips for packing for a destination bachelorette weekend!
Order or make some easy to pack decorations. I love Oriental Trading Company because they have a wide assortment of decorations that can fit any theme or occasion and they’re very reasonably priced.
Sign up for email updates because I’ll be posting about how to make your own banner, heart garland and other bachelorette decorations next week!
Small gifts and party favors make it easier to fit everything you need into a carry-on! But make sure not to put anything liquid into the favors because it’ll be a pain going through security and for TSA to stop and rummage through your well packed luggage.
We all know the golden rule of rolling rather folding clothes! I had ordered some shirts to wear for the weekend and decided to take rolling the clothes up a level by adding name tags to them. Which also makes distributing them amongst the group much easier!
Keep it all organized and easy to pack by putting the decoration, games and anything bachelorette related into clear storage bags. It will help protect things from getting crumpled in the suitcase!
Utilize the space between the handle bars at the bottom of the case. It may not look it but the little party favors are the perfect width and height to fit into those spaces for me!
Pack smart with the clothes you’ll be wearing over the weekend. Packing cubes are my holy grail! You don’t have to get yourself a set, the cases that sheets come in are great DIY versions of packing cubes that will definitely do the trick.
It’s a bit like playing Tetris, but just think of all the room you’ll have for souvenirs and shopping after you’ve unloaded and given out the bachelorette related items! I’ve included a pdf of my packing list with a bonus list of what to pack for a day of sightseeing!
