DIY Layered Necklaces

This month, I’ve slowed down on the DIY projects because life has been a little hectic and I had to put some things on the back-burner. I’m a self-professed hoarder and had come across some necklaces that I don’t wear anymore but couldn’t bear to throw them away. I thought it’d be fun to remake some of them into something I would wear. Layered necklaces have been all the rage the last few seasons and can be easily done yourself with a few simple items.

Materials:

Old Necklaces | Jewelry Chain | Lobster Clasps | Jump Rings | Flat Nosed Pliers

Directions:

  1. Choose your favorite pendants or trinkets from your old necklaces you want to layer together.
  2. Use this super handy chart to measure out the lengths of chain you want your necklace to be. (Mine are 20″ and 24″ long.)
  3. Attach a jump ring to one end of the chain and slide on your chosen pendants. Add a lobster clasp to the other side of the chain to finish!

Now go wear your new necklaces out! Layer them over a high neck tee or with something low cut like me. Either way, they’ll be effortlessly stylish and chic!
