It’s a leap year! That means there are 366 days in this year, what’re you going to do with your extra day?
I know this “extra” day lands on a Monday so most of us are at work, but I was thinking one more day this year is still one more we didn’t have regardless of when we get it. So I’m choosing to spend my day planning. I’m planning future travels, new blog goals for Right Where I Left Off and brainstorming what I want to write more about in the coming months.
Planning 2016 Travels
I’ve been wanting to go to New Orleans for years now. Finally, I’m getting the chance to go in May! I’ve scoured the internet for places to stay and what I’m looking forward to eating there. I’ve gathered city guides and working on polling my friends on what their favorite places were in the city when they visited.
I’m loving this pink Airbnb house (get $20 off your first stay!), it’s the perfect base for a girl’s weekend. Her Packing List’s city guide is a great comprehensive overview perfect to refer to when I go there for a weekend.
I also want to go to the East Coast again in the summer to visit friends and family. Chicago seems like a great place to be in the summer!
Got any travel advice or recommendations for New Orleans or Chicago? I’d love to hear them in the comment section below or feel free to email me at email@example.com!
New Blog Goals for 2016
I have blog growth goals on my list already, but I had mainly focused on traffic and monetary growth at the time. I’ve since thought of a few more things I want to do in the blogging community.
- Guest blog/Write a guest post for another blog
- Utilize my newly learned Codeacademy skills to make my blog better
- Open an Etsy shop linked to Right Where I Left Off
- Engage more readers and build an active community on my blog
Blog Topics Brainstorm
This year I’m focused on making DIY’s with more intention and to utilize materials I already have on hand to minimize creating more things that’ll quickly end up in a landfill.
- More DIY makeovers
- Multi-use Items
- Decoration DIYs
