Sweater Makeover DIY

Who doesn’t have sweaters in their closet that’s a few years old and needs a quick refresh? Mine happened to shrink a little too much in the wash and the sleeves at the wrist ended up a tad too tight for me to comfortably wear. So I decided to add some zippers to make it both more comfortable for me and feel like new in this sweater makeover DIY!

Materials:

Directions:

Take off any embellishments on your sweater.

Mark 4 inches down on the sleeves on your old sweater from the wrist opening.

Use your seam zipper to carefully cut into the knit of the sweater so it won’t unravel after.

Use straight pins to pin the zippers in place.

Sew the zippers on and you’re done! I loved Frog Knitter‘s tutorial if you need more steps to walk you through this.
