Good morning all, sorry for the impromptu break these last two weeks. I had every intention of posting while on vacation and after I got back, but the long days site-seeing caught up to me. I caught a sinus infection and couldn’t summon the energy or find the time to put together anything to share. I was also trying to figure out how to post using only my iPad because I did not bring a laptop with me but ran into some glitches. I’ll need to work them out because I intend on sharing my upcoming Europe trip with you all while on the road!
Anyways, now I’m back, rejuvenated and ready to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday coming up! If you like to decorate for the holidays this DIY is for you. I love the paper lanterns that are so popular, I thought it would be fun to put a patriotic twist to it.
Print out the template and cut the star pattern out. You only need to cut out one because you’ll be using it to trace its outline onto the scrapbook paper.
For each scrap paper you should be able to fit five on each sheet (enough to make one star).
You may find it easier to cut the scrapbook paper down to size so it’ll fit through a printer, then print the template onto it instead of tracing. Either way, you’ll end up with some fabulous stars!
Cut out the star templates.
Follow the folding lines on the template to create the star points.
It may be fun to mix and match star points with different scrapbook papers.
Use tape or glue to piece the points together.
Attach a string or ribbon to your completed star and you’re all done.
Celebrate safely y’all!
