Weekend Away: Lakeshore

I had a lovely weekend in Shaver Lake with a great group of friends. I’ve been having some problems with my neck for the past week, so I wasn’t able to partake in the more fun activities like skiing or snowboarding, but it was still fun to hang around and catch-up with each other.

There wasn’t much snow here due to the drought, but we made do with what was there. But most of us decided to hit the slopes in nearby Lakeshore at China Peak Mountain Resort.

While I and a few others stayed a little closer and sledded at a nearby Sno-Park.

We stayed at a cabin in Shaver Lake we booked through Shaver Lake Real Estate & Rentals. We were able to reserve a spacious cabin that sleeps fifteen, but could easily fit more if you wanted. There were some strange locked doors and little half doors that reminded us of the ones in Paranormal Activity 3.

A good portion of Saturday evening after spending all day on the slopes and sledding was playing Heads Up. I’ve owned the app for awhile now, but had on idea it records a video of the people acting out the words. You can replay the video after the round is over and laugh at how silly you all looked acting out “dove” or “catching falling snow with your tongue”.
